Noelle is passionate about being the hands and feet of Jesus to people in the community and is a wife and mom of two amazing kids. Fun fact about Noelle: As a former marketing manager in the running industry, Noelle has worn or owned just about every running shoe on the planet.
John & Julie
John and Julie are lifelong Northern Virginia residents. Together they own and operate Johnny Flash Productions and are the parents of four wonderful children. They love getting their whole family involved in community outreach with Expectation Church, teaching their children to be the hands and feet of Christ, and helping those in need. John & Julie run together three times per week, rain or shine!
Expectation Church
Expectation Church exists so that people far from God will experience faith in Christ. Christian has been the Senior Pastor at Expectation Church since June of 2019. Already, he has seen God’s hand at work establishing the ministry at the new Braddock Road campus and is both energized and eager to see all that God has planned for the church as it meets the needs of our community. Expectation Church is producing the Feed Fairfax 5k for our community.
WHAT WE DO
Raise Awareness
For over 10 years we have supported communities to organize initiatives to solve local problems. Our proven processes and methods have accelerated the impact that these communities have had to end homelessness and hunger.
Be The Feet
100% of your race entry fee and donations goes to purchasing food to end childhood food insecurity in our county. All of the overhead for the race is covered by our sponsors. These are volunteer-driven events by community members who want to help end food insecurity.
Be The Hands
Upon finishing your race, each runner/walker has the unique opportunity to pack the food they purchased with their race entry fee. The food is distributed to those in need within a week. You are helping to end hunger in our community TODAY!
Continued Success
Over the last two years, we had over 1,500 people participate in the run/walk, packed over 78,000 meals, and raised $132,000. We know that together we can do even bigger things in our 4th year!
HOW YOU CAN HELP
TESTIMONIALS
Having worked with Feed Events numerous times I highly recommend this organization for anyone looking to support a great cause while also getting involved in fitness and running. By organizing races to fundraise for those facing food insecurity, Feed Events gives you and your community the opportunity to make a life changing impact!
If you value win wins then you will love FEED EVENTS! I highly recommend Ken and his nonprofit organization, they are creating amazing running races to fundraise for people facing food insecurity. His passion and dedication to making a positive impact in the community is truly inspiring and I believe his efforts will make a significant difference in the lives of those in need!
Ken does not coordinate events. He coordinates connection to a cause. He blends his gifting for logistical excellence with his passion to help people and the result is a thriving event where people know they have made a real difference in the lives of others rather than just attended another weekend event.
