Feed Fairfax 5K
We’re on a mission to change this and we want YOU to join us for the Feed Fairfax 5K.
1 IN 6 CHILDREN IN FAIRFAX COUNTY IS HUNGRY
MAY 4TH 8AM AT THE CHANTILLY PLANET FITNESS
100% of your race entry fee and donations supports local charities
SERVE WITH US
What makes the Feed Fairfax 5K so special? Right after you finish your race, you'll be able to pack the food that you funded through your race entry for kids in our county. At the food packing event, we'll be packing Power Packs, which are backpack meals sent home with students who do not get enough food to eat on the weekends.
The meals you pack at the race will be delivered to children who need them in the following week.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
DONATE
Help end hunger TODAY! 100% of your donation goes to buying food.
Food for Others
Food For Others' mission is to distribute food to our neighbors in need by mobilizing our giving community and volunteers. Join us on May 8th to raise awareness and pack food for hungry children in our county.
Western Fairfax Christian Ministries
WFCM envisions a community where everyone is housed and fed and experiences God’s love. In 2021, WFCM launched a Free Food Fridge program to provide supplemental fresh nutritious food in western Fairfax which has grown to serve twelve Fairfax County Public Schools as well as three partner non-profit organizations in Chantilly, Centreville, Westfield, and Fairfax.
TITLE SPONSOR
Superior Paving Corp. is one of the most respected names in paving in the Northern Virginia area. Over the years, it has expanded throughout the region to include plants that do many of the area’s biggest public road projects. VDOT continues to be the company’s largest client; it also upholds its close partnership with Luck Stone. Superior Paving Corp.’s client base has grown to include everyone from subdivision developers to school systems, as well as a bevy of smaller private pavers who buy its asphalt.
WHAT WE DO
Be The Feet
100% of your race entry fee and donations goes to purchasing food to end childhood food insecurity in our county. All of the overhead for the race is covered by our sponsors. These are volunteer-driven events by community members who want to help end food insecurity.
Be The Hands
Upon finishing your race, each runner/walker has the unique opportunity to pack the food they purchased with their race entry fee. The food is distributed to those in need within a week. You are helping to end hunger in our community TODAY!
Continued Success
Over the last two years, we had over 1,500 people participate in the run/walk, packed over 78,000 meals, and raised $132,000. We know that together we can do even bigger things in our 4th year!
